I was speaking to a lady (Pam) last night who purchased the seventy minute stuttering therapy DVD six weeks ago. She has been working very hard since watching the film and learning about all of the techniques – in fact Pam stated that she watched the DVD every three or four days as a way of instilling the techniques into her brain.
Pam originally contacted me around three months ago in some what of a panic. She had reached a point where she found it virtually impossible to answer the telephone. It was something that was seemingly always on her mind (which was not exactly helping the situation) and was something that was causing her a great deal of frustration and stress.
“Why am I unable to answer the telephone Steve?”
Was one of many questions Pam asked during our original conversation; I am sure many of the readers of this blog post can understand exactly what Pam was going through – I certainly can. I went through the same issues when I had a stutter and I can tell you that it is horrendous.
On a brighter note Pam is now able to answer the telephone with a much greater confidence and has stated that it is like having a weight lifted off her shoulders. She has vowed to keep up the practice as she has not quite achieved total fluency at this point.
