The Stuttering Therapy Audio Book

|

Have you heard about the latest development in stuttering therapy? Well it is the availability of an audio book to help people who have a stutter to achieve fluency. It is estimated that as many as one percent of the UK adult population have this form of speech impediment and the therapies for stuttering have been rapidly improving over the last ten years. At long last there are treatments for stuttering and stammering that work.

The stuttering/stammering therapy audio book contains full descriptions of the techniques that are taught during the more traditional one-to-one speech therapy courses, a course which is run by a person who has previously had a stutter. There is additional information included in the seventy minute recording than just the descriptions of the stuttering cure techniques, including the types of practice that are suggested and the amount that one should practice.

People can of course now listen to this recording on their mp3 players whilst on the way to work, whilst jogging, whilst walking the dog, whilst doing almost anything. A one-to-one speech course is not suitable to everyone and this audio book has proven to be extremely popular.

I remember when I was studying for an insurance exam, an exam which I had failed three times. I just could not take in the information that I was reading and learning about – mainly because it was so boring! A colleague who had already passed the exam recommended that instead of reading through all of the literature and study notes that I should listen to the audio book versions. I listened to my colleague and followed his advice, I am happy to report that I did manage to pass the insurance examination at the fourth attempt. This is the power of an audio book and is perhaps why this audio book for stuttering has proven to be so popular.
